Devyn is a pastor, wife, mother, speaker, writer and advocate. She is ordained in the Evangelical Covenant Church and completing her Doctor of Ministery at Virginia Theological Seminary.
Devyn is passionate about communicating the word of God, leading change in congregations and systems, and lifting up the voices of the oppressed and underrepresented.
Devyn has 12+ years experience leading congregations in Washington State, Chicago, Virginia and now Massachusetts. She currently co-pastors Covenant Congregation Church with her husband Ryan. Devyn is also adjunct faculty in the ministry department of North Park Theological Seminary.

In 2017 Devyn launched the grassroots movement called Four More Women in the Pulpit. The movement challenges male pastors to make room for women by inviting #fourmore women to preach in their congregations each year. Four More Women in the Pulpit has opened up doors for Devyn to resource and coach both men and women. She leads cohorts and seminars for women pastors on how they can lead with courage and resiliency and regularly teaches and consults with male colleagues on ways they can lead their congregations to fully embrace the leadership of women.

Devyn grew up in Seattle, met her husband in Chicago, welcomed her daughters home in Virginia, and now calls Massachusetts home. She loves strong coffee, PBS masterpiece mysteries and live music (Over the Rhine, I’m With Her and Mandolin Orange). But her favorite thing of all is spending time with her husband and daughters (ages 6 and 2).
